007 On The Silver Screen



All right, so what about the movies? After all, so what that you can see the cigarette box in hypertext? You can see that on the silver screen.

The difference is subtle, but potentially of enormous implication.

In hypertext, the author has the choice to represent the cigarette box visually (literally) or through text. With cinema, the author is almost completely limited to using a visual representation of the box, or more simply, he must film the box at some point in order to make such information available to the audience. The hypertext author has several other options, all depending on the style and general layout of his creative work.
