The first of four pictures of Giselle Beiguelman's De vez um nunca (Sometimes Never). First the artist takes a brief video with a cellphone and transmits the resulting image via bluetooth to a nearby computer, which creates a collage on-screen from the original video. The audience can then manipulate the results in real time by pressing any one of 32 keys and thus changing the colors; leaving the keyboard alone causes the original film to restart on top of the first version, creating a multi-colored palimpset. In this screenshot (furnished by Professor Beiguelman) the process has just begun.
