Action Links

An action link is one in which following a link commences an action. This may take the simple form of opening a document with kinetic elements, such as a moving GIF file or a more complex process that produces information computationally.

Advantage 1 (1) An easy way to introduce an action.

Disdvantage 1 If readers cannot stop or control the result of action links, such the rotating image on the left, or music and other sounds, they find the lexia particularly annoying.
