These ideas deal with the development of economy that is based in a virtual world. Some people, like Mitchell in City of Bits, believe cyberspace will allow a truly equal free-market. Some authors who write about cyberspace, create worlds with dystopian views of economies, such as Stephenson predicted economy of franchises ruling the world.
