He was a brave boy, killing his motheršs lover, a monk, at the age of sixteen. His mother 

hanged herself from the doorframe as result. Yu went into hiding and he became

hooked on gambling and was once punished and humiliated by Nine Dream Cao who became

the magistrate of Gaomi County later on and whose favorite pastime was nabbing gamblers.

As he is known to execute punishments using the sole of his shoe, he was given the nickname 

Shoe sole Cao.

 

Grandpa remembered grudgingly when he was napped gambling in the graveyard for which 

he decided that he would pay him back someday.
