The glass of the sulphur sample's display case is shattered. Though this makes your job easier, it also gives you pause. If this had happened before Aleister's disappearance, he would surely have seen to it. What, then, might be roaming these rooms even now, or perhaps lying in wait for you around the next corner? And might the same entity be responsible for the alchemist's as-yet-unexplained disappearance?

Well, even if that were the case, there's not a lot you could do about it. Determinedly, you take the sulphur and move on.
