Happily Ever After
"The prince killed the monster and bestowed the treasure upon the princess. The
golden bird went free, and nobody killed the unicorn. As for the witch and the monster,
they had it coming from the very start.
Or what if it had happened otherwise - if the monster
had killed the prince after all, or the witch captured the princess and
locked her in a tower without a window; if the unicorn ended up as
a taxidermist's masterwork?
Well, no matter. For better or for worse, those are not the stories that we tell."
