Electronic Book Technologies' DynaText
Using the potential implicit in mark-up codes that label all elements of text, such as paragraphs and quotations, Electronic Book Technologies' DynaText includes a dynamic table of contents, clicking upon any element of which instantly brings the reader to indicated portion of text. Unlike hypertext systems, such as Intermedia and Storyspace, which emphasize an atomized conception of text, DynaText treats text as a linear stream, but it can also be used both (1) to link individual electronified books, or (2) as networked-structure hypertext.
