An example of 'good' conversation:

A: "It might be interesting if such-and-such would happen..."

B: (with oddly annoyed look, although I don't particularly mind): "Sure. It would. But such-and-such doesn't happen."

(Not at all impressed, or interested, which is nice. Slightly vexing, but really very nice.)
