N O N - S T A T E

Non-state actors are increasingly important in international politics. More and more international influence is to be found in religions, cartels, individuals, multinational corporations, and non-governmental organizations.

In reforming society and the way we view the world, we must put pressure on these non-state actors as well as on the state itself. Not only because the non-state actors have power, but also because they are often less entrenched in masculinist, realist mindsets. So non-state actors could be more malleable and open to change than the nation-state.
