The Web 2

Since you are reading the web that the student is reading, no doubt some questions have sprung to mind. I will enumerate them for you, or read your mind so to speak. (Or write your mind.)

1. Who is reading? Who is writing? Is the student a voice for the author? Is the student as much a part of the text as the mother and daughter? Is this simply a frame story in a tradition that goes back to Chaucer and maybe beyond? Or is the student more that the mother and daughter, a vehicle for analysis ?

2. Where does "The Waiting Room" end ?

3. Where is the student located in the text? That is, does she partake in the text as subject or object ?
