A reader and a writer approaches a text from different perspectives. Two people might describe an event differently. A reader and a writer might view the same text differently. An author writes with a theme and message in mind but it might be a different one from what a reader reads.
It could be simply a matter of a different point of view.
The writer seems to have little or no control on what a reader reads, ironically. Should the writer's point of view be a basis?
" It (literature) can never explain the world or at least...once the explanation is fixed in a work, it immediately becomes an ambiguous product of the real to which it is linked by perspective.."
---Roland Barthes
then again, this is just from my perspective.
