Show me the money.

The original institution that sell books for money belongs to the authors. The writers are not in this institute thus they cannot profit. Writers produce thought and thought ìdoes not sell itself, it gives itself- generously.î Also, ì the writer offers society what society does not always ask of him.î Thus no demand equals no money.

Authors on the other hand benefits from ìthe social function of literary language (that of the author) to transform thought into merchandise; society wages a kind of vital warfare to appropriate, to acclimatize, to instituitionalize the risk of thought, and it is language, that model instituition , which affords it the means to do soî

Really? Then why is Doctor Landow so rich from the sale of his books?
