...Dreams...
The crowd went ecstatic, hands, flags were being waved about. I took on my victory lap with pride and with an indescribable sense of satisfaction. I DID IT!!! All these months of mental and physical anxiety were all replaced by the elation of being World Champion. I waved to my adoring fans, to people who supported me and who played a significant part in my championship victory.
I stopped in the parc ferme, in between the second and third place cars. I unbuckled my safety harness and removed the steering wheel. After sliding myself out of the narrow cockpit, the first person that offered congratulations was none other than my championship rival.
I was refused the privileged of celebrating with my team members and well wishers as I was ushered to the podium for the prize presentation.
