Context

"But are the conditions of a context ever absolutely determinable? . . . Is there a rigorous and scientific concept of context?"
--Jacques Derrida,
Signature Event Context

There is a bigger barrier to completion of context than simply missing a couple of e-mails. The chief problem with trying to provide you, the reader, a context is that the boundaries of this are difficult, if not impossible, to determine.

I cannot express the totality of context because I would also have to include all the information that would have affected or helped shape the exchange you see here. Chris' e-mails to me, the history of our friendship, personal information regarding the two of us, all of it would have small but important roles in shaping the poem that was created. Who, for example, is "Richman?"
