Samuel Taylor Coleridge once spoke of a willing suspension of disbelief. That willing suspension is a requirement for my web. In this web, Mikhail Bakhtin and Jacques Derrida appear as old friends, having a conversation reminiscent of the dialogue between Vladimir and Estragon in Samuel Beckett's play Waiting for Godot. I don't know if Bakhtin and Derrida ever met, and I don't know what they would talk about if they did meet. This is just fiction. Like the dialogue in Beckett's play, the conversation between Bakhtin and Derrida is almost totally random. They often allude to major theoretical concepts, which are elaborated in the links.
