I scratchbuilt this 1880s AP&G Tank Car, basing it on drawings from the 1888 Car Builder's Encylopedia (made available in a modern reprint by Newton K. Gregg). I used a Kemtron or Calscale dome on this car, though made others with a scratchbuilt dome, too. Thick styrene glued to both ends of a styrene tube and then shaped using a drillpress and sandpaper formed the tank while the body is constructed of individual pieces of styrene.
