Low-side Gondola. This car probably began as Mantua kit or came already made. I cut off the various cast-on details and replaced them with more accurate wire ones, and added a soldered on brass brake wheel, after which I painted the car AP&G non-revenue colors and added weathering and decals. The old-fashioned Fox trucks may have come with the kit. Bitter Creek now sells them. In late 2016 Augustus Melmotte sold this car to a Maryland railroad, which purchased many of the AP&G's other cars and buildings. [Click on images to enlarge them.] — GPL.
